Less than a four-hour drive from Chennai, Chandragiri is often overlooked as a weekend destination due to its proximity to Tirupati. However, if you happen to be in the Tamil Nadu capital, then be sure to spend a weekend here as Chandragiri too has a lot to offer; forts, palaces, lakes, waterfalls, museums and good food all make this as exciting and interesting a place as any down south.
